Broken Fences
Broken fences
One holding the world in
Keeping the external out
An obstacle that defines you
Sun burned and wind tanned
Arguing with the breeze
Crumbling walls
Cracking paint
Representing all the world inside
The broken can be repaired
All things broken can be fixed
Some fields need to be crossed
Others will never be
Broken fences
A little piece of heaven
At the gate called hell
Eyes peering in
Oblivious to the other side
Derelict in temperament
Derelict in temperament
Besieged by regicide dictators

Tombstone Soliloquy
Oblivious soliloquy
A silent voice in monotone
When words have no meaning
Talking to oneself by a tombstone
Feeling the grass grow
The way of the dead
As they contemplate to be or not
The hushed monologue
Lost on empty ears
This dagger instead of a flower
As words become an oblivious soliloquy
Crumbling in dust
Daggers rust and flowers grow
