What is the result?

Looking back
Would the boy choose?
A different valley

On summit 50 miles from home
Water azure blue
Reflected cobalt off the Ray Bans

Home a nomadic town
On the edge of wilderness
1000 miles north of a boundary
In country far away

Rolled to a valley on a prairie
Winds pushed me this far
No ties but history
Water rusted like whiskey
