Lurking feeling of the recognizable

Exist stage left

A memory that belongs to you

That no longer is yours

Merely something imagined

Especially too real

Unsatisfactory over the meaningful

Saying good bye

Meaning hope to see you later

Others saying see you later

When really their meaning was clear

For some there is never a goodbye

Or a hello or later

Just an endless conversation

With a pause of years in between

You can count those friends on one hand

For they were real
